i don't feel so safe anymore

as safe as singapore is, after loopholes in our security systems have been exploited recently, i'm truly questioning how safe we are... but that's the thing.. sometimes mistakes have to be made for these loopholes to be discovered and appropriate measures put in place to counter them.. but what if those mistakes cost lives?

i fully appreciate how fast and swift security forces act here once they realise something is a miss... 1 recent instance and 1 current one are the Guard who ran off guard duty with live rounds, and the current one with the JI leader in Singapore escaping..

they say he was in a waiting room, waiting to meet with his family when he asked to go to the toilet.. he then fled from the toilet or something like that.. what i seriously question is how on earth can the Most Wanted or maybe by then we had already caught him? so he's not so important anymore? until he escapes? how can there be no guard realizing he's escaped! giving him enough time to make a get away, even though he's walking with a limp, and still now after the vital initial 24 hours have gone by, still no sign of him they say... he obviously had quite a bit of time, before any guard realized he was gone.. that just should not happen..

i'm young, i probably don't know anything but let's analyze the situation.. would ensuring there is always at least 1 guard assigned to dangerous individuals be more troublesome and costly, compared to having to mobilize hundreds of military personnel?

for me the answer is simple, assign a guard to follow them whereever they go... there should be absolutely no chance give for these individuals to escape..

if he does make it out of the country, and manage to plan and carry out a successful attack resulting in the deaths of many, and damage in all aspects that would cost millions, would assigning a permanent guard look so costly or troublesome now?
go figure yeah?

but i don't know how the military works..
so i don't know if this is viable.. but it looks and sounds good to me...

it's just like playing defence..
and you're forced between 2 decisions..
you're being closed down by 2 men.. you are the last player on your team.. if they win the ball, they will almost surely score.. would you play it safe, clear the ball out at the cost of having to pull everyone back, but having time to do so or, try to put it up to the other players, or dribble out.. risk losing possesion, with high chance of being caught on the counter and losing a goal...

it's simple you play safe.. that's what we should be doing..
better be safe the be sorry right? everyone knows this, but do we jsut think of it as a common phrase that doesn't mean anything?

k so seeing as i don't think i'll have time to blog tmr i'm gonna do it today...

so tmr gonna go out with marie for her little belated bday party.. they're probably gona go clubbing and have a good time and i'm gonna go for a bit but can't stay too long cause i've got another big game on saturday... if you thought last week's was big, this one is bigger.. so here's a little visual for u people


k so that's the current standings.. the top 4 teams in the league now.
after our win against the merahans we've moved up to 3rd and still keeping a close eye on the top 2..
so this saturday we're playing against the Red Flamingos currently ranked 2nd.. they're a really young squad.. they've got tons of national team players.. gonna be another really tough game..
my body feels ready for the challenge, all nice and rested from the crazy monday and tuesday workouts and i'm feeling confident with how i'm playing..

HELLO! mY LORD... i'm freaking driving past school on the highway and adding another like 10 or so kilometres to the journey? we won our game on saturday! final score Moosemen 10 - Merahans 5..

it wasn't an easy game... referees were a little out of it, but it's hard to ref i know too well.. which is why i don't like ref-ing anymore.. unless they hike up the ref pay to like $50 a match.. then maybe.. but $20 to be put in such a pressurising job is the same as if someone asked you to do their whole Production Planning Folder for $20... a simple 2 word answer.. NO WAY! or if jj aka JiJik aka JJ-Double-J-Joe-Jackson would say, "FUCK YOU OKAY?" lol

yeah so was a tough game.. i think i played well ^^.. very physical too.. i guess the merahans got frustrated after awhile and started to rough it up a bit.. which for a moment or 2 got on our nerves but we managed to calm down thankfully... the merahans didn't play to their usual high standards for some reason i'm not too sure why.. but it was still a tough game.. so kudos to them yep yep..

even though one of them did push me in the back and then i yelled to the ref for the foul, and eventually got the freehit, he told me to shut up when really it's not my fault lol.. YOU FREAKING PUSHED ME! WTF?! anyways.. i'd do the same looool.. it's all in the game...

production planning folder is complete! oh my god i thank xiuqi and calvin for their help... i thank myself earlier in the year when i chose 20 scenes from "Castaway" hehehe all of which were on the islands.. and he's all by his lonesome... so not much props, or actors.. just Tom Hanks and his coconuts hurhur..

i didn't think i'd get it done but i got pro plan (thx to xiuqi and calvin) done in 4 hours! :D how awesome is that?! and it then took me another 2 and a half hours to print! and an hour to prepare everything nicely.. the printing was the most F-ed up! like my poor old HP printer was working it's butt off.. printing non-stop man! and still it took so long.. of course it didn't help i kept being a blur bodoh and printnig wrong stuff but lol.. still the stack of paper that accumulated in my file later was scary O.O... my god.. *shakes head*...

anyways i promised my bro i'd help him with the laundry.. haha i've forgotten bout him.. he's gonna be all grudgy bout it now... gotta go..

just finished packing all my floorball stuff, final bends to my new blade and testing it out, all in preparation for tomorrow's big game.. like HUGE...

i'm expecting to be absolutely worn out after it..

it's going to be a real tough game, i really can't stop emphasizing that.. and the importance of the game can be seen in the league table.

with 4 games already played, and the top 4 teams leading the pack all coming away with maximum points, tied with 12 points... the only thing separating would be goal difference...

we, the Moose are in 4th, just behind, and the Knights in 3rd..
this will be one of the major deciding games that'll either demolish a team's title hopes, or push them on further in our quest for it... at the end of the day, only one outcome is good enough.. a win...

dropping points at this point, simply isn't an option...
we as the reigning champions have a point to prove even though we've lost several of our key players.. the lack of quality in our past few games is another incentive for us to need kick some serious ass...

i'm kinda nervous... we know they've got a seriously wicked offense line-up... we can see it in the number of goals they've already slotted into the net so far this season.. and me as a defender, speaking on behalf all the moose, need to be absolutely air tight.. nothing goes in... ZIP...
